A 3 months course in
church based development work
The International Line at The Diaconal College of Aarhus is a 3 months course offering an international, ecumenical and cross-cultural experience with focus on diaconia and development in church and society. In runs from September to December.
During the course the participant, typically working in a local church or a church-based NGO, will be equipped to function as an agent of change in society. Through theological reflection the participant will gain a fundamental understanding of diakonia and its developmental aspects and gain awareness of the potential role of church and church based NGOs in society. The participant will be able to initiate, monitor and evaluate development projects and to raise awareness of social and development issues in church and society.
10 years jubilee publication
"The International Line is like a bumblebee,
which cannot fly, - but it does fly and has been flying since 1998." The above quotation is from the principal at the Diaconal College in the jubilee publication celebrating The International Line's 10 years of existence.
With the jubilee publication the school wants to give a big thanks to all the people and organisations that have contributed to making the bumblebee fly by sending participants and providing finances, teachers and hostfamilies.
